1. Scope and rights holder

These terms apply to the installation, use and distribution of the Android app BookRack, provided by elixirevo (the “Provider”). Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the app belong to the Provider or the respective rights holders. A separate written agreement takes precedence within its agreed scope.

2. Free personal use and optional paid features

Individuals may install an official copy of BookRack on devices they use and access its free basic features. Subject to these terms, the Provider grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app. Installation and backup copies needed for your own use are permitted; this does not grant a right to redistribute the app to others.

Some additional features or services may be offered for a fee. Where paid features are offered, their scope, price, term and payment conditions will be disclosed before purchase. Purchases, cancellations and refunds are governed by the conditions disclosed at purchase, the payment platform’s policies and applicable law. This document does not itself set prices or announce a change to any specific feature.

An individual reading or annotating work documents does not, by itself, constitute product bundling under the following section. Personal use rights do not include supplying the app to third parties as part of a product or service.

3. Enterprise license for product bundling

A business, organization or other commercial operator must obtain a separate enterprise license agreement with the Provider before including BookRack in a product for sale or commercial supply or distribution. This applies even if the app has no separate price and is supplied as a component or extra feature of the product.

  • Preinstalling BookRack on eReaders, tablets, phones or other devices sold to customers.
  • Including the app in firmware, system images, installation packages or recovery images.
  • Bundling the app installer with a purchased product or automatically installing it for the purchaser.
  • Providing the app as a component of an OEM/ODM product or a paid product or service.

4. Separate commercial agreement

Downloading the free app or purchasing personal paid features does not grant enterprise distribution rights. An enterprise agreement separately defines the products, distribution method, quantity, territory, term, fees, updates, support and brand usage. Sending an inquiry or proposal does not constitute permission; express written authorization is required.

For an enterprise inquiry, email your company name, product, intended distribution method and estimated quantity to the contact below. Redistribution, resale or trademark use not expressly permitted by these terms also requires prior agreement.

5. Conditions of use

Respect the copyrights, privacy and access rights of others. Using BookRack does not grant rights to use, copy or distribute the documents or web content you read.

  • Do not copy the app for distribution, resell it or sublicense it without authorization.
  • Do not remove copyright, trademark or license notices or imply an official partnership or certification without permission.
  • Do not improperly bypass access restrictions or license protection for paid features.
  • Do not modify or reverse engineer the app without authorization, except to the extent permitted by law or an applicable open-source license.

6. Open-source and third-party components

BookRack includes, or optionally installs, open-source libraries, AI models and manufacturer runtimes. Those components have their own licenses and notices, available in the app’s license list. These terms do not replace or restrict rights granted by those licenses. An enterprise agreement does not waive third-party license obligations.

7. Your content and privacy

Rights in documents, handwriting and notes you import or create remain with you or the original rights holder. The Provider does not acquire ownership of your content merely because you use the app. Data handling and deletion are described in the separate Privacy Policy.

8. Availability, changes and termination

Compatibility and availability can vary by device, operating system, firmware, file format and external service. Unless separately agreed, the Provider does not guarantee error-free operation in every environment or permanent availability of every feature. You can keep separate backups of important documents.

For a material breach, the Provider may notify you of the breach and required corrective action and restrict or terminate permission to use the app in accordance with applicable law and any separate agreement. These terms do not limit purchased rights, refund rights or other consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these terms will be published on this page with their effective date. Changes affecting existing purchases or enterprise agreements remain subject to the relevant agreement and applicable law.
